Hi, I'm Alvaro

I'm a passionate pet lover with 17 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats, and I created All About Pets to help pet parents like you provide the best care and love for your furry, scaly, or feathered friends.

My Story

My journey with pets began 17 years ago, and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Throughout these years, I've had the privilege of caring for and learning from over 62 dogs and 71 cats, each with their own unique personalities, needs, and quirks.

Currently, I share my home with 3 wonderful dogs and 5 amazing cats, each bringing their own joy and lessons to my daily life.

This extensive experience has taught me that there's no "one-size-fits-all" approach to pet care. Every dog and cat is unique, with different temperaments, health needs, dietary requirements, and behavioral traits. Through years of observation, trial and error, and continuous learning, I've discovered what really works to keep pets happy, healthy, and thriving.

The challenges I've faced, from dealing with behavioral issues to managing health concerns, from rescue situations to breed-specific needs, have given me practical, real-world knowledge that goes beyond theory. I've learned from countless veterinarians, trainers, and fellow pet lovers, and I've applied this knowledge to help every animal in my care flourish.

Why I Created All About Pets

With 17 years of experience caring for over 130 dogs and cats combined, I realized I had accumulated a wealth of practical knowledge that could help other pet owners navigate the complexities of pet care. Too many pet owners struggle with common challenges, behavioral issues, nutritional confusion, health concerns, and training difficulties because reliable, experience-based information isn't easily accessible.
